Treatment Plant Operator-Full-Time, full benefits. Salary Range $34,669 to $46,905 annually, DOE. Wastewater Department. The Operator performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater facilities. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or general education degree with course work in math and science required.
Two years of experience in a water and/or wastewater utility preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen and must provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years.

Heritage Tourism Assistant-Part-Time Seasonal, no benefits. $10.23-$13.84/hour, DOE. May-September. This position will work at the Heritage Center, Information Center, and Jail Museum and any additional city attractions as needed. Customer service experience preferred. Good communication skills are necessary for greeting visitors in person, by telephone, and by e-mail. Computer skills including Microsoft Office preferred. Weekends and Holidays will be required. High school diploma or equivalent required and must be at least 18 years old. Background check and pre-employment drug screen must be passed. Applicant must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of appointment and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.

Facility Assistant I-Part-Time, no benefits. $9.75-$13.18/hour, DOE. Hours will vary each week, including days, weekends and evenings. This position will require assisting in preparing, planning and implementing activity programs including skating, sports, fitness, performing basic grounds maintenance, receptionist duties, community-wide events and other programs for the department. Computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Good communication skills required. Requirements include: must be at least 18 years old; must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of appointment; possession of a current certificate in First Aid and CPR or the ability to acquire within 60 days. Applicant must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years.

Toddler/Program Assistant II-Full-Time, full benefits. Starting Salary $11.85/hour. Normal work week will be Monday-Friday, but must be able to work weekends and evenings as needed. This position will require several responsibilities including: preparing, planning, and implementing age appropriate programs for children ages 12 months to 3 years old. Responsible for various program administrative functions such as: accident, damage, accounting and attendance monthly reports. Other duties may be assigned under the capacity of these programs. Requirements are: must be at least 18 years old; possession of a current certificate in First Aid and CPR or the ability to acquire within 30 days. Requires a thorough background investigation from Colorado Bureau of Investigation and with TRAILS and Intellicorp. No experience required, however, a commitment to obtaining toddler credentials and a a professional growth plan to include education and care is required. Must also pass a pre-employment drug test.

Program Assistant I-Part-Time, no benefits. Starting pay $10.74/hour. This position will require several responsibilities with assisting licensed child-care program preparing, planning and implementing activity programs, possible receptionist duties, and may substitute for other youth programs. Other duties may be assigned under the capacity of these programs. Requirements: must be at least 16 years old, possession of a current certificate in First Aid and CPR or ability to acquire within 60 days; a thorough background investigation including TRAILS; and must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Custodian-Full-Time, full benefits. $20,270 starting salary of range, could be higher depending on experience. The Custodial department is now accepting applications for a full time Custodian. Graveyard shift, and will include weekends. Custodial experience preferred. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held in the previous three years. Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of appointment.

Transit Driver-Part-Time, no benefits. $11.85 to $16.03 an hour, DOE. Duties include transporting visitors and citizens to various locations throughout the City; also will be assisting the disabled as necessary. Colorado CDL with P2 endorsement required. High school diploma or GED required. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must pass a drug test and background check and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous 3 years.

Police Officer-Full-Time, full benefits. $40,134 to $54,298 yr.,, DOE. The Police Department is now accepting applications for a police officer. Patrols assigned beat on foot, or in a patrol car to control traffic, prevent crime or disturbance of peace, and arrest violators. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid Colorado driver’s license, POST certified, be able to pass all physical and psychological exams, background checks, pre-employment drug test and provide an acceptable motor vehicle record from all states in which a license has been held within the previous three years. Requires a high school diploma or GED.
